The Customer : DOORDARSHAN

Doordarshan, the state broadcaster of India, had planned to set up a DTH platform with 30 channels expandable to 200 channels in future.

The set up is to be installed at Todapur in New Delhi where the existing facilities were to be utilized for uplinking. The set up is to provide extraordinary thrust to the broadcasting set up in India and also provide relief to the viewers from the clutches of cable operators who are constantly harassing the consumers.
 
The Challenge
HBE along with its partner TANDBERG had to face tough competition from companies like Harmonics, Nexstream and Scopus.

Doordarshan with all their expertise evaluated the solutions for over three months and finally short-listed HBE.

A semi autonomous body of Ministry Of Civil Aviation, had a requirement for Automatic Flight Inspection System.
